BBVA makes a commitment to virtual correspondence and fulfils the Global Eco-efficiency Plan policies

BBVA has launched a new information campaign among its collaborators to encourage the use of its Correspondencia Virtual (Virtual Correspondence) service and end traditional mail deliveries.
BBVA employees in Spain will receive an e-mail encouraging them to participate in this campaign, which has the added attraction of helping the environment, as BBVA will plant a tree for each new registration through BBVA net in the paperless Correspondencia Virtual service and the corresponding cancellation of mail deliveries.

Correspondencia Virtual offers many advantages, including the following:

• It allows documents that BBVA sends by ordinary mail to be consulted online, without having to wait for them to arrive at home

• It gives details of transactions, statements and reports that can be consulted, printed and saved at any time

• It also guarantees the confidentiality of information, as it can only be accessed using the BBVA net security keys
 
A tree... a forest

The Bank has launched this new campaign with the slogan “Ayúdanos a plantar un árbol” (“Help us plant a tree”). It will also improve its ecological footprint by reducing the consumption of paper and helping reforestation work in a number of autonomous regions. For each new Correspondencia Virtual service registered, together with the corresponding end of mail deliveries, the Bank, assisted by the BBVA Volunteer Office, will plant a tree as part of the reforestation campaigns regularly promoted by BBVA volunteers in a variety of areas of particular environmental interest in different autonomous regions.

This initiative is part of the Global Eco-efficiency Plan launched by BBVA to improve the quality of service, reduce environmental impact and increase efficiency.
