The scholarship holders receive 12 monthly payments of 190 pesos each. The money is deposited directly into a rechargeable card held by the student or the student's father, mother or tutor, thus obliging them to use the banking system. The student undertakes through an honorary contract to attend class, achieve good grades, be on good behavior and account for expenses with the corresponding receipts on the last working day of each month. If the students do not comply with any of these commitments, they are penalized by one monthly scholarship payment. If their non-compliance is repeated, they are dropped from the program.
Through an allied NGO, the bank provides students with educational, family and social counseling to enable them to fulfill their agreement with BBVA Banco Francés. The counseling tutorials are compulsory and held every week or two weeks.
