The 2015 BBVA-El Celler de Can Roca Tour will broadcast one of its events in Buenos Aires. The event will be broadcast from the Terrazas Bistró restaurant at La Rural, where the Roca brothers will prepare a menu with typical dishes such as Salta lamb, black hake, mate, cheese and quince, among others. During the dinner, the guests will also sample new takes on traditional dishes such as “alfajores”, “choripán” and “chimichurri”, accompanied by Argentinian wines selected by Josep Roca.
On Saturday, August 8, from 5:00 pm (local Argentinian time), all the followers of BBVA Francés’ account on Periscope will receive an alert with the start of the successive connections, which will have a duration of between 5 and 10 minutes. Through this mobile app, the followers will be able to witness live the preparation of the dishes and the explanations of the Roca brothers while they work with their team of more than 30 people who have travelled from their restaurant in Girona.

The Roca brothers tour will continue in the United States and Turkey
After Argentina, the Roca brothers and another 40 members of the best restaurant in the world will visit the United States and Turkey. The 2015 BBVA-El Celler de Can Roca Tour is planning to travel to Miami (August 12-13 on the SeaFair yacht), Birmingham (August 18-19, at the local country club), Houston (August 24-26, at the Caracol restaurant) and Istanbul August (31-September 3, Salt Galata building). The menus prepared by the Catalan chefs will include new versions of their classic recipes and be accompanied by wines from Spain, Argentina and the United states, especially selected by Josep Roca.
BBVA scholarship program at El Celler de Can Roca
As in 2014, this second cooking tour, which is the result of a global alliance between BBVA and El Celler de Can Roca, will work toward social goals. The Roca brothers will select two catering students from the countries they visit to promote local talent. These young cooks will enjoy a scholarship at the Roca brothers’ restaurant in Girona for 4 months. Every year, the restaurant receives more than 400 applications from people wanting work experience, which is why being part of the El Celler de Can Roca team can be considered as the best incentive possible. Also, the three brothers will train hundreds of students during conferences at every stop of the tour.
