Listen: Five years of BBVA Compass Stadium

In 2006, the Houston Dynamo of Major League Soccer moved from San Jose, Calif., to the fourth largest city in the U.S., sending a ripple effect that would result in BBVA Compass Stadium.

BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston

The soccer-specific stadium broke ground in early 2011, and would soon open in May 2012. The venue is set to celebrate its five year anniversary in the coming months, and in recognition of that milestone, BBVA Compass’ External Communications team pulled aside some time from two people close to the birth the stadium.

Houston Dynamo legend and Houston Dash Managing Director Brian Ching and BBVA Compass Strategic Partnerships and Branded Content Director Shei Moyett joined a special podcast to talk about the stadium and its impact on Houston’s communities and soccer aficionados.
