The financial publication has distinguished BBVA with the Best Investment Bank awards in Spain, Mexico, Peru and Türkiye, and has also recognized its leadership in infrastructure finance in Western Europe and Central and Eastern Europe, as well as in debt markets in the latter region.

BBVA Broker has been recognised for its security and the quality of its customer service in Spain in the first edition of the ‘Estrategias de Inversión’ Awards for the best brokers. In addition, the bank was ranked among the country’s top three brokers in two further categories, best overall broker and best broker for investing in investment funds, following an independent analysis that assessed nearly thirty platforms.

BBVA has earned the Top Employer 2026 certification for the fourth year running, making the bank one of the best companies to work for in Spain.

For the third year running, Time has published its World’s Best Companies 2025 ranking, with BBVA having climbed 37 positions compared with 2024, claiming eighth spot globally (45th in 2024). In Spain, it was ranked as the top performer in the banking sector. The ranking, which evaluates 1,000 multinational companies, assesses employee satisfaction, financial performance, and progress toward sustainability.

The BBVA Group scooped 13 awards at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence ceremony held last night in London, attended by over 350 representatives from the international financial community. BBVA’s franchises in Mexico, Peru, Spain and Türkiye all received awards under various categories.

The BBVA Foundation Frontiers of Knowledge Award in Social Sciences has gone in this seventeenth edition to social psychologists Icek Ajzen (University of Massachusetts Amherst), Dolores Albarracín (University of Pennsylvania), Mahzarin Banaji (Harvard University), Anthony Greenwald (University of Washington) and Richard Petty (Ohio State University) for their innovative contributions that have revolutionized the attitude theory and its practical applications.

The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) recently recognized Garanti BBVA’s efforts in sustainable development by including the bank in its global ‘A’ List of its Climate Change and Water Security Programs.

The Banker/Private Wealth Magazine has recognized BBVA as the best private bank in Colombia and Peru in the 2024 edition of the awards. The bank has also been singled out as offering the best high net worth client service in Latin America. The Banker also commended BBVA’s private banks operating in Mexico and Spain.

The US magazine also proclaimed BBVA the best bank in Mexico, Colombia and Argentina, three key markets for the Group in Latin America.

For the second year in a row, the U.S. publication named BBVA one of the best companies in the world in a ranking developed in conjunction with Statista. The financial institution is the top Spanish bank on the list and ranks eighth worldwide.

Garanti BBVA CEO Recep Baştuğ has secured the top spot among finance executives and seventh place overall in the latest annual "Türkiye’s Sustainability Leaders" ranking, published by the Turkish franchise of leading business magazine Fast Company.

The financial magazine International Financial Review (IFR) presented BBVA the award for the Best European Bond of 2023 for the contingent convertible (CoCo) bond issued in June of last year - the first of this kind following the collapse of Credit Suisse.
