Eight out of every ten boys, girls and teens in Argentina use the Internet and six out of every ten use mobile phones. This was reported in UNICEF’s publication, 'Kid Online, Chic@s Conectados', which analyzes internet and social media use among Argentine youth.
The report emphasizes that the social gaps between different socio-economic levels in Argentina became apparent in the research. Teens with a higher socio-economic level use mobile channels more than those from middle and low socio-economic levels.
It is striking that 51% of those surveyed reported being online “all the time” while 16% say they go online more than once an hour and 20% more than once a day.
