BBVA to meet with Banco Sabadell shareholders to provide information on the share exchange
BBVA plans to hold various face-to-face events this month at more than ten venues across Catalonia, the Valencian Community, the Basque Country, Madrid, and Asturias, all regions with a high concentration of Banco Sabadell shareholders. It will also be staging several remote meetings for those shareholders who wish to take part. The aim is to share more information on the transaction and answer questions about the share exchange, which is currently underway. The sessions will include an institutional presentation, followed by a Q&A round.

Following the take-up period, BBVA will launch a series of in-person and virtual meetings to share information with Banco Sabadell shareholders, especially in those regions of Spain that play home to a significant number of Banco Sabadell shareholders. The aim of these events is to provide clear and transparent information on the terms of the public tender offer submitted by BBVA and to explain the various ways in which shareholders can partake in the exchange.
During each event, BBVA representatives will deliver a presentation structured in several blocks:
- A review of BBVA’s identity and positioning within the global financial sector.
- An in-depth explanation of the transaction, including its implications.
- Practical information on how shareholders can exchange their shares.
- The various channels and tools that shareholders can use to stay regularly informed throughout the process, including the news subscription service, the corporate website, the BBVA branch network, or the tender offer helpline.
Each event will culminate in a Q&A session, where attendees can clear up any lingering doubts. Prior registration for the events is essential. Those wishing to attend may do so by completing the attendance form that will be published on the bbva.com website (the takeover bid Banco Sabadell section). Alternatively, shareholders can register by calling the specific tender offer hotline: 800 080 032.
