BBVA’s new app makes first-time investing easier than ever
If you’ve managed to put aside some money and are now wondering what to do with it, the BBVA app makes it easy. Now you can learn to invest from your phone, with tools designed for beginners and with no jargon or obstacles.

So you’ve managed to save up a small cushion of money, maybe a chunk of your income from the past few months, or even some sort of windfall. Perhaps you’re wondering whether to invest it so it grows, rather than leaving it in the account doing nothing. Investing not only allows you to earn a return on this capital, but also protects it from losing value due to inflation.
With newcomers very much in mind, the BBVA app now includes a new feature specially designed to make it easier to get into the world of investing, and to do so securely. Through short, explanatory videos, the app offers beginner-friendly training and shows how inflation can eat away at your savings if you fail to grow them. Using artificial intelligence and data analysis, it supports users in exploring investment options. The entire process is managed via your cell phone, so no paperwork or additional steps required.
The new feature combines financial literacy, guidance, and protection all in one place. You can simulate an investment step by step, better understand how the process works, and calculate potential gains.
This way, you’ll learn, try things out, and move forward with confidence, through a guided process that reduces the uncertainty we all feel when we embark on something new.
How to start investing with the BBVA App
- Open the app and head to the main menu.
- In the menu button (top right), select the ‘Experiences’ option.
- Then choose the ‘Learn to invest’ option and tap on ‘More information.’ Once inside, you’ll find everything you need to get started.
- In the ‘Express training’ section, you’ll find useful information and explanatory videos (optional but highly recommended).
- Review the list of available funds (more than 3,500 from BBVA and third parties) and simply pick the one that suits you best.
BBVA has also launched an initiative to encourage those who still have doubts to take the plunge, provided they have amassed a financial cushion enough to cover at least six months of expenses. These customers will see a section in the app called ‘Investing is for you too', where they can access a selection of ten proven-return funds, with conservative, sustainable, and tech-oriented options to choose from. If they invest at least €600 in one of these funds and after one year the return is negative, they will be compensated for that loss with up to €300 gross.
Because investing can be simple when you have the right support. That’s why BBVA has redesigned its app with a clear goal: to support you in managing your money through personalized solutions, AI, and a faster, more intuitive, and discreet user experience.
