The first International Women’s Day was celebrated in some European countries to protest women’s working conditions. In 1977, the UN General Assembly declared that March 8th would be the International Day for Women’s Rights and World Peace.
British researchers have discovered more than 287 different genes that could hold the answer to baldness. A team from the University of Edinburgh Centre for Genomic and Experimental Medicine analyzed the DNA of more than 52,000 men between the ages of 40 and 60 to predict the risk of baldness in each individual. One of the main conclusions from the study is that the maternal genome is the key to hair loss.
