200,000 BBVA customers in Spain already use Coach to strengthen their financial health

BBVA is enhancing its customers’ financial well-being in Spain through Coach, its personalized digital tool for financial planning and management. So far, 200,000 people have used the tool and set concrete savings goals, mainly focused on two priorities: managing monthly expenses with greater peace of mind and building a financial buffer to provide more security when unexpected expenses arise.

Coach has become a key tool for helping users make everyday decisions about their personal finances. Today, 26,280 active spending-control actions reflect the growing interest among customers in managing their income and expenses more effectively. This trend is also evident in the 29,622 active tracking tools, 82% of which were set up through the badge system—an easy way to automate healthy financial habits.

Another sign of how firmly this feature has taken hold is the growing use of shortcuts to add money to goals or savings buckets. Customers have made 17,318 contributions so far, nearly 11,300 of them through quick actions built into tools they already use. This seamless integration into daily banking shows the added value Coach brings to customers.

“Coach has helped our customers gain a clearer picture of their financial situation and start making small changes that create meaningful impact. It gives customers a greater sense of control and peace of mind by helping them set financial goals and monitor their progress. For BBVA, these numbers reflect more than operational progress—they represent another step toward our purpose of helping people make better financial decisions every day,” said Luz Martín Manjón, BBVA’s Global Head of Financial Health.
