Garanti BBVA is launching a new digital solution to provide security for forward-dated payments and boost trust in commercial transactions. The innovative new feature allows clients to manage future payments easily, backed by the bank’s guarantee.

Garanti BBVA Crypto has eliminated commissions and fees on crypto trading in TRY pairs. The move is part of its aim to offer investors a user-friendly crypto experience.

Garanti BBVA Crypto is now offering trading and transfers in Tether (USDT), allowing users to do business with the popular dollar-pegged stablecoin via the Ethereum network and trade USDT pairs.

BBVA’s Turkish unit reported net income of TL 53.6 billion for the first half of 2025, according to consolidated financial statements as of June 30. Total assets grew to TL 3.82 trillion, while the bank provided TL 2.95 trillion to the economy through cash and non-cash loans. Customer deposits remained the primary source of funding, accounting for 69.5 percent of total assets. The deposit base expanded 26.7 percent in the first six months to TL 2.66 trillion. The bank maintained a robust capital adequacy ratio of 15.6 percent.* Return on average equity (ROAE) stood at 30.7 percent, while return on average assets (ROAA) was 3.1 percent.

Garanti BBVA Asset Management has succeeded in building an investment fund topping 600 billion TL in the year to date, thanks to a consistently strong performance and the trust and support of its investors.

Garanti BBVA reported its earnings for the first quarter of 2025. The bank earned TL 25.40 billion in net income, with total assets reaching TL 3.50 trillion, and cash and non-cash loans totaling TL 2.60 trillion. Customer deposits continued to be the main source of funding, accounting for 73 percent of all assets. The deposit base rose by 21.4 percent to TL 2.55 billion. Furthermore, Garanti BBVA achieved a return on average equity (ROAE) of 30.5 percent, and a return on average assets (ROAA) of 3.2 percent. Meanwhile, the bank maintained its strong capital position, with a capital adequacy ratio of 16.2 percent.*

The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) recently recognized Garanti BBVA’s efforts in sustainable development by including the bank in its global ‘A’ List of its Climate Change and Water Security Programs.
