Garanti customers now enjoy benefits of digital brokerage accounts

Garanti Bank recently launched the opening of brokerage accounts via digital channels, with the new process requiring only a few clicks and less than 5 minutes to complete. This is a great advance over the old process, which required signing dozens of forms and took 60 minutes to complete.

The feature was launched on Garanti Internet and Garanti Mobile in December 2017. Since then, 98% of new brokerage accounts were via digital means. Apart from reinforcing the shift in sales to digital channels, the new process has also increased the total number of brokerage accounts (both digital and non-digital) opened weekly by 130%. This clearly illustrates the positive impact of digitization beyond the enhanced experience and convenience it affords customers.
