Garanti renews its sponsorship of the Turkish Basketball Federation
Garanti has renewed its sponsorship of the Turkish Basketball Federation (TBF). The agreement recently signed between Garanti Bank CEO Fuat Erbil and TBF President Hidayet Türkoğlu extends the sponsorship for three more years.
Garanti Bank extended its sponsorship of the Turkish Basketball Federation for three more years. The bank has sponsored the federation since 2001, and continues to support Turkish basketball with the same excitement since the very first day. Garanti President and CEO Fuat Erbil and TBF President Hidayet Türkoğlu formalized the agreement, which includes the sponsorship of national youth teams, the “12 DABO” basketball academies, and the the men’s and women’s national teams.
“Since the beginning of our sponsorship, we have been thrilled to watch all the teams we support transform into globally recognized brands,” Garanti President and CEO Fuat Erbil explained. “We are very pleased to extend our support for three more years.” Garanti’s President and CEO also stressed the importance of passing on the tradition of Turkish basketball to future generations through the 12 DABO project, which has been growing along with Garanti Bank’s sponsorship since 2002.
Erbil also noted that 2019 will be an exciting year for Turkish basketball, with teams participating in the World Cup and European Cup. “I would like to take this opportunity to wish success to all our national basketball players. Our greatest desire is to maintain our collaboration with the Turkish Basketball Federation for many more years.”
The President of the Turkish Basketball Federation, Hidayet Türkoğlu stressed how much Garanti’s support has meant over the years: “Garanti Bank has been much more than a sponsor for us. Their ongoing support over the past 18 years has strengthened Turkish basketball, laying a solid foundation for future generations.” He also pointed to the exciting events that lay ahead this year for Turkish basketball teams, including the World Cup and European Championships. “It’s a pleasure to compete at both major tournaments with uniforms bearing the Garanti Bank logo as our good luck charm,” he added.
