Garanti BBVA scoops the “Project Finance Bank of the Year” award at the 2023 Finance Awards held in Türkiye
The Bank received three awards at the Bonds, Loans & ESG Capital Markets CEE, CIS & Türkiye Awards 2023, one of the most prestigious events to be held in the Turkish capital markets and finance industry.
Garanti BBVA earned the title of “Project Finance Bank of the Year” for its role in financing some of Türkiye’s leading energy projects, notably Borusan EnBW Enerji and UEDAŞ.
It also walked away with the “Energy Finance Agreement of the Year” award for its part in the $600 million financing arrangement for Borusan EnBW Enerji’s renewable energy investments. Last but not least, it earned “Agreement of the Year in Local Currency” accolade as one of the key financiers of the agreement with Uludağ Enerji.
