Garanti BBVA Asset Management, Turkey's first portfolio management company, continues to offer innovative solutions to its investors. In this context, the company recently created the "Garanti Asset Management Metaverse and New Technologies Variable Fund (MET)", the first fund in Turkey to focus on metaverse - the new virtual and real-world network that is expected to replace the internet in the future.
This newly established fund includes a variety of companies in the technology, information technologies, technological hardware, communications, telecommunications, e-commerce, biotechnology, medical technology and software sectors that use, support and engage in research and development for these technologies. In addition, the fund intends to include capital market instruments offered by institutions that provide services and products to relevant companies in these sectors.
Investors can access the Garanti Asset Management Metaverse and New Technologies Variable Fund at Garanti BBVA branches and on its digital channels. Customers of other financial institutions can also invest in Turkish Lira, with no minimum amount, at the branch, mobile banking or website of the bank of their choice through TEFAS.
Garanti BBVA Asset Management General Manager Sinem Edige stressed the cutting-edge products the bank offers its customers: “With a quarter of a century of experience in our sector, extensive investment management staff and strong in-house research capacities, we are able to offer innovative products for our customers. Metaverse has become a special area of focus for us in this context.”
The fund is the first of its kind in Turkey, and serves the needs of investors interested in the latest trends. It is designed for investors interested in diversifying their portfolio with a fund in Turkish Lira, those who want to invest in metaverse and new technologies, with a medium and long-term approach to their savings, Sinem Edige explained. “As Garanti BBVA Asset Management, we will continue to offer different solutions to our investors with innovative approaches," she concluded.
