Garanti BBVA Takes a New Step in Open Banking: All Cards from Different Banks Now on a Single Screen

Through this new card integration, Garanti BBVA clients can now view and manage cards issued by different banks via a single screen. The feature enables users to track key details such as credit limits, transaction activity, and reward points associated with cards held at other institutions. In addition to individual customers, merchants, SMEs, and corporate clients can also view cards from different banks in one place, allowing them to manage their financial position in a more comprehensive and integrated way.

Implemented in line with Open Banking regulations, the feature means that clients no longer need to switch between multiple banking apps. Instead, it provides a clearer and more streamlined overview of their financial position on a single screen. Clients who wish to activate the feature can do so in Garanti BBVA Mobile by selecting the “Other Bank / Institution Settings” option within the Profile menu. After choosing the bank they want to add and completing the necessary authorization steps, their card information can be viewed securely through the app.

As part of its Open Banking infrastructure, Garanti BBVA is also introducing additional transaction capabilities designed to simplify everyday banking. Clients can now create scheduled and recurring transfer orders through Garanti BBVA Mobile or online banking using accounts they hold at other banks. This feature allows users to plan transfers in advance and manage regular payment instructions easily from a single platform, even when the funds originate from accounts held at different institutions.

Commenting on the development, Garanti BBVA Executive Vice President Ceren Acer Kezik noted that the bank’s priority is to build an ecosystem in which financial data can be managed securely, transparently, and under the client’s control. She explained that Garanti BBVA aims to deliver an experience that is seamless enough to feel almost invisible, yet positive enough to leave a lasting impression. According to Kezik, speed and convenience go to the heart of that experience. She added that supporting clients at every stage of their financial lives requires a holistic approach, which is precisely why the bank has made card integration part of its Open Banking services.

The new capability allows clients to securely view and manage all their cards from different banks through Garanti BBVA Mobile and online banking, making it easier for them to track their spending and keep an eye on their financial position via a single screen. Within the possibilities offered by current regulations, she said, the bank will continue developing solutions aligned with its radical client perspective and designed to fit naturally into customers’ daily lives: “Our goal is to offer solutions that adapt to the flow of our clients’ lives and truly accompany them,” Kezik said.
