Two BBVA USA employees recognized by local business publications

The next generation of leaders in the business industry are key components to a stable economic future across the U.S. and in the markets in which those leaders reside.

BBVA USA found out recently that the bank has two of these rising stars in two key markets in its footprint, as Global Wealth Executive Josh Collins and Senior Corporate Counsel Tranny Arnold were both recognized in their local Business Journal’s annual 40 Under 40 lists for 2020. The lists recognize professionals under 40 years old who have demonstrated excellence in business, leadership and community involvement.

In Alabama, Tranny Arnold was recognized by the Birmingham Business Journal for his work as a key contributor to the bank’s legal team as lead counsel to multiple departments including the global markets division. In addition, Arnold was also recognized for his appointment to Alabama State Banking Board.

"When it comes to Tranny's passion for what he does and the goals he sets for himself, there aren't many people like him," said BBVA Compass Executive Vice President and Deputy General Counsel Mike Carlson. "His expertise is that of someone far beyond his years. However, even with an extensive amount of knowledge, he's still motivated to learn more about his craft. The bank's legal department as a whole is extremely proud of the work he has done and congratulates him on this amazing, well-deserved recognition he's received."

Josh Collins was recognized by the San Antonio Business Journal for his efforts in creating opportunities for Global Wealth clients, assisting in their portfolio growth, and leading the San Antonio market to a top ranking among other Wealth Management markets across the entire BBVA USA footprint - in each of the first two years under his leadership.

“Having Josh on our San Antonio team has been a benefit not only for our operations, but for the most important part of why we come to work - our clients,” said BBVA USA San Antonio CEO Ryan Parker. “Banking clients in San Antonio are ultimately looking for highly-trained and experienced financial professionals who care about their relationships with clients first and foremost. That perfectly describes what Josh brings to the table every day.”
