Teaming with world’s most famous hacker Kevin Mitnick, BBVA Compass has been traveling across its markets and sharing cybersecurity insight in a quest to put its clients at the forefront of the new digital frontier.
As BBVA Compass continues to amp up its digital banking portfolio, the bank is also finding it relevant to push the pedal on its cybersecurity initiatives — an effort which has opened the floor to its knowledge-sharing series, Bright Perspectives. The series provides the bank's clients with a first-hand outlook about financial security during an era of digital growth.
Mitnick, who was formerly spotted on the FBI’s Most Wanted list for his high-profile hackings, is now a cybersecurity advisor and a noted speaker for the Bright Perspectives series.
“The series speaks volumes of BBVA Compass’ efforts to team with enlightened digital leaders and ensure its clients have a bright financial future,” said Mitnick. “Given my background, I’m able to give the bank’s clients prime insight into protecting their financial lives as banking becomes a more digital experience.”

Thus far in 2017, the Bright Perspectives series has landed in Laredo, Phoenix and Jacksonville and is scheduled to arrive in multiple cities throughout the bank’s footprint in the fall. BBVA Compass Northeast Florida CEO Nelson Bradshaw said that the series positions the bank as a community-invested organization and that it provided value to the clients of Jacksonville — a city which is expected to see economic growth in the next two years.
