Garanti BBVA Named Türkiye’s Best Cash Management Bank by Global Finance for the Second Consecutive Year
Garanti BBVA has once again been named Türkiye’s Best Cash Management Bank at the Global Finance World’s Best Treasury & Cash Management Awards 2026, retaining the title it won last year. The bank was recognized for its broad cash management ecosystem, digital banking infrastructure, and innovative product offering.
The award reflects Garanti BBVA’s comprehensive suite of collections, payments, financing, and integration solutions. The bank serves approximately 650,000 cash management customers and handles trillions of lira in annual transaction volume.
Garanti BBVA CEO Mahmut Akten said the bank is focused on making customers’ collections, payments, and financing processes more efficient, faster, and more secure. “Being named Türkiye’s Best Cash Management Bank once again reflects the international recognition of our work centered on customer experience, technology, and innovation,” he said. Akten added that Garanti BBVA sees digitalization not merely as a tool for transforming processes but as a strategic element that directly adds value to the way customers do business, and that the bank will continue to strengthen its cash management leadership with next-generation technologies.
A track record of innovation
Garanti BBVA has been among the first banks in Türkiye to introduce a range of cash management innovations, including the Direct Debit System (DCS), guaranteed payments, supply chain financing, bulk payment systems, SWIFT-based integrations, API services, and digital collections infrastructure. The bank was also among the first institutions in Türkiye to launch SWIFT GPI, SWIFT Go, virtual IBAN, Request to Pay API, and digital application solutions.
