Garanti BBVA completely reshaped digital banking in 2025. With generative artificial intelligence at the heart of its digital strategy, the bank has evolved the user experience, making it more intuitive, more personalized and smarter. Garanti BBVA Mobile has transformed the banking experience by seamlessly integrating into millions of customers’ daily lives.

With user expectations rapidly evolving and artificial intelligence redefining the financial experience, Garanti BBVA is at the forefront of this change. Its banking app, Garanti BBVA Mobile, is one of the most popular in Türkiye, reaching 17.9 million customers. The app has set a new standard in the sector with its modern design, customizable menu, personalized recommendations and its AI-powered assistant, Ugi. Currently, 99 percent of bank transactions and 86 percent of product sales use digital channels, underscoring the scale of this shift.

A more personalized, smarter mobile experience

In 2025, Garanti BBVA Mobile was redesigned to make customers’ financial lives easier with a more interactive, personalized experience. With customizable menu options, smart flows and tailored recommendations, the app offers personalized advice, reminders and financing offers based on customers’ spending patterns and budget cycles. Acting like a personal assistant, it also summarizes incomplete or missed transactions and offers services such as My Vehicle, My Home, My Digital Subscriptions and My Travel – enhanced through a partnership with Jolly, all in one seamless experience.

The evolution of Ugi: a new era of productive artificial intelligence

In 2025, generative AI took center stage in Garanti BBVA’s digital banking. Ugi, the bank’s smart assistant, was revamped to provide hyper-personalized and proactive solutions for customers. It goes beyond standard responses, analyzing bank data to anticipate needs, complete transactions faster and prevent potential issues in common situations – such as changing SIM cards and tracking card refunds. Ugi supported over seven million customers in more than 70 million conversations and will continue to expand its capabilities.

Greater efficiency with over 900 AI models

Garanti BBVA’s use of AI extends beyond customer experience to its internal operations. Over 900 AI models enhance document scanning, information extraction, reporting and workflow efficiency, giving employees more time to focus on strategic tasks while improving the quality of service. By combining advanced technology with human intuition and creativity, the bank is reinforcing its human-centered approach to digitization.

A new standard in payment technologies: faster and more secure transactions

Launched in 2025, the Bonus Platinum Dynamic Card introduced state-of-the-art online security with a three-digit CVV that automatically renews every hour – a first in Türkiye. With GarantiPay, NFC contactless and TR QR code payments, users can pay quickly and securely without carrying a card. The S.M.A.R.T. feature, also a first in the country, automatically selects the most beneficial card for each transaction.

My Credit Coach: a guide in your financial journey

Credit Coach is one of the bank’s most remarkable innovations of 2025, designed to help customers manage their personal finances better and plan for the future. This feature lets users review their financial status, explore personalized credit, overdraft and credit card offers, and receive tailored recommendations to improve their financial health.

A new experience for young people

Designed for customers between the ages of 18 and 26, the ‘Young’ menu on Garanti BBVA Mobile gives young people easy access to culture and the arts, career opportunities, banking products and campaigns – all in one place. Its dynamic design helps to make mobile banking a natural extension of daily life for young people.

Crypto assets on a single screen

Garanti BBVA customers can now manage their crypto and traditional investments on the same screen. The Investments menu displays crypto assets along with stocks funds, foreign exchange and BES, with real-time prices, profit/loss status and watchlists, making it easier for customers to track and manage their financial assets.

My Bank: personal advisory services

Garanti BBVA also launched a new program, My Banker, featuring personalized banking for customers with higher assets. On the app, customers can instantly connect with dedicated account managers and access tailored financial solutions, exclusive campaigns and events—all from a single platform.
