On July 1, the Council of Ministers approved a decrease in the line of participatory loans to projects of technology companies of 18.6 million euros, from the 20.4 million euros originally envisaged in the Council of Ministers of April 29 to 1.7 million euros in the end. A reduction by implementing the agreement of lack of availability of credits in the 2016 State Budget amounting to 2 billion euros.

According to country manager Manuel Olivares, in the nearly 20 years that the group has been in Chile, BBVA has been an important actor in the country’s development process.  “Not only have we financed important government construction projects, not only do we employ nearly 5,000 people, but we have also worked side by side to improve access to banking services."
