For the fourth year in a row, BBVA has been ranked as the leading bank to work for in Spain in the Merco Talento report, which assesses companies’ appeal as employers. The Bank has also once again been recognized among the country’s top human resources teams.
Global Finance has named BBVA Best Bank for Embedded Finance in the second round of the World’s Best Digital Banks 2025 – Corporate Winners awards. The award recognizes BBVA’s leadership in developing integrated financial solutions that deliver simple, immediate, and relevant banking services directly within the environments where individuals and businesses need them.
The Banker, a magazine of the Financial Times Group, has once again recognized the BBVA Group as ‘The Best Bank in Latin America.’ On this occasion, the British publication, which presented the bank with the same award in 2023, emphasized its leadership in innovation and pioneering approach to sustainability. BBVA also received the award for the Best Bank in Argentina and Peru.

Global Finance magazine has just announced the winners of its 'World’s Best SME Banks' awards. In this year’s edition, BBVA has received a double accolade: ‘Best SME Bank in Spain’ and ‘Best SME Bank in Western Europe.’ These awards showcase its business support model, its growth within this segment, and its ability to boost productivity, digitalization, and sustainability among small and medium-sized enterprises.
For the third year running, Time has published its World’s Best Companies 2025 ranking, with BBVA having climbed 37 positions compared with 2024, claiming eighth spot globally (45th in 2024). In Spain, it was ranked as the top performer in the banking sector. The ranking, which evaluates 1,000 multinational companies, assesses employee satisfaction, financial performance, and progress toward sustainability.
BBVA’s Turkish franchise has secured three accolades at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2025, consolidating its position as a leader in sustainable banking and workplace inclusion across Central and Eastern Europe. The bank was named Best Bank for Diversity and Inclusion and Best Sustainable Finance Bank in the CEE region, and also took home the Best Sustainable Finance Bank award for Türkiye.

The accolade highlights its commitment to technological innovation and the digital transformation of wealth management, offering solutions tailored to the needs of high-net-worth clients.
The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) recently recognized Garanti BBVA’s efforts in sustainable development by including the bank in its global ‘A’ List of its Climate Change and Water Security Programs.
BBVA was recognized for the second time as the best bank in Spain by The Banker, part of the U.K.-based Financial Times publishing group. Having also won the award in 2022, the bank has now earned the accolade in 2024 for its focus on innovation, digitization and sustainability. BBVA Spain Country Manager Peio Belausteguigoitia described the award as “a reflection of the hard work and dedication of the entire BBVA team” and emphasized the bank’s commitment to integrating advanced technologies to improve customer service. In addition, BBVA received the global award for financial inclusion for its work through the BBVA Microfinance Foundation. The bank was also recognized as the best in Peru and Venezuela.
The US magazine also proclaimed BBVA the best bank in Mexico, Colombia and Argentina, three key markets for the Group in Latin America.
BBVA was presented the ‘Sustainability Action 24’ award by Compromiso RSE for the bank’s support of the clean technology ecosystem. The organization specifically recognizes the creation of a unit dedicated exclusively to financing cleantech, as well as BBVA being the only financial institution participating in the ‘Cleantech for Iberia’ initiative.
