BBVA’s Turkish franchise has secured three accolades at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2025, consolidating its position as a leader in sustainable banking and workplace inclusion across Central and Eastern Europe. The bank was named Best Bank for Diversity and Inclusion and Best Sustainable Finance Bank in the CEE region, and also took home the Best Sustainable Finance Bank award for Türkiye.

The BBVA Group scooped 13 awards at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence ceremony held last night in London, attended by over 350 representatives from the international financial community. BBVA’s franchises in Mexico, Peru, Spain and Türkiye all received awards under various categories.

The leading publication of financial information, of the Financial Times Group, presented BBVA its Technology Award for the world’s best bank for technology use. The Group’s new data platform, ADA, also received an award for the best banking transformation project in the world.

Garanti BBVA was once again selected for the world’s most prestigious occupational healthand safety award at the 2025 International Safety Awards, organized by the U.K.-based non-profit organization, the British Safety Council. Of the 350 Turkish organizations that applied for the award, Garanti BBVA was the only financial institution to receive the award for the sixth year in a row.

The BBVA Foundation Frontiers of Knowledge Award in Social Sciences has gone in this seventeenth edition to social psychologists Icek Ajzen (University of Massachusetts Amherst), Dolores Albarracín (University of Pennsylvania), Mahzarin Banaji (Harvard University), Anthony Greenwald (University of Washington) and Richard Petty (Ohio State University) for their innovative contributions that have revolutionized the attitude theory and its practical applications.

The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) recently recognized Garanti BBVA’s efforts in sustainable development by including the bank in its global ‘A’ List of its Climate Change and Water Security Programs.

The Banker/Private Wealth Magazine has recognized BBVA as the best private bank in Colombia and Peru in the 2024 edition of the awards. The bank has also been singled out as offering the best high net worth client service in Latin America. The Banker also commended BBVA’s private banks operating in Mexico and Spain.

The US magazine also proclaimed BBVA the best bank in Mexico, Colombia and Argentina, three key markets for the Group in Latin America.

For the second year in a row, the U.S. publication named BBVA one of the best companies in the world in a ranking developed in conjunction with Statista. The financial institution is the top Spanish bank on the list and ranks eighth worldwide.

BBVA’s strategy in Spain of targeting companies and SMEs has scooped three awards from Global Finance magazine at this year’s edition of its ‘Best Digital Bank Awards’: Most Innovative Bank, Best Mobile Banking App and Best Open Banking Strategy.

Garanti BBVA has once again been named the ‘Best Cash Management Bank in Türkiye’ at the 2024 Best Treasury & Cash Management Banks 2024 Awards organized by Global Finance, one of the world’s leading financial magazines.

For the fourth year in a row, the BBVA Group’s Uruguayan franchise was named the Best Trade Finance Bank in 2024 by the international magazine Global Finance.

Garanti BBVA CEO Recep Baştuğ has secured the top spot among finance executives and seventh place overall in the latest annual "Türkiye’s Sustainability Leaders" ranking, published by the Turkish franchise of leading business magazine Fast Company.

The financial magazine International Financial Review (IFR) presented BBVA the award for the Best European Bond of 2023 for the contingent convertible (CoCo) bond issued in June of last year - the first of this kind following the collapse of Credit Suisse. The publication underscored that the step taken by BBVA was ‘crucial’ to recovering confidence in this debt market.

The grants went to the children of micro-entrepreneur clients of Bancamía from all over the country, who will now be able to study at university thanks to the resilience, discipline, creativity and strength shown by their parents.

For the second year in a row, in its announcement of the winners of its World 's Best Private Banks Awards 2024, US magazine Global Finance has named BBVA as the best private bank in the world for sustainable investment.

The British magazine, part of the Financial Times group, also recognized BBVA as the Best Bank in Mexico, one of its biggest markets, as well as the franchise in Peru. For The Banker, BBVA is a “leading bank in Latin America, standing out from its peers in various markets in the region.”

The bank received the prestigious certification thanks to its employee management strategy and policies. The Top Employer seal is a sign of the organizations’ commitment to bring about better work environments through excellence in their workforce practices and policies.

BBVA has earned The Banker 2023 awards for Best Private Bank in Peru and Best Private Bank for Customer Service in Latin America, while also earning the ‘Highly Commended’ special mention in the Best Private Banking in Latin America and Mexico categories. The magazine held a very positive view of the customer relationship model of BBVA’s private banking business, which is especially important amid the current market uncertainty.

The prestigious publication has included BBVA among the best companies in the world in the first edition of this list put together in collaboration with Statista.The bank is the second Spanish company in the ranking and sixth bank worldwide. The ‘World’s Best Companies’ is a comprehensive list of the most remarkable organizations around the globe  in various sectors based on three dimensions: employee satisfaction, revenue growth and sustainability.

For the third time, BBVA's corporate banking has won the international publication's highest accolade in the latest edition of its 'World's Best Bank Awards', which set the standard for excellence in the financial sector.

The Banker magazine, owned by the UK-based Financial Times group, has honored BBVA as Spain’s best-performing and fastest-growing bank. In addition, BBVA is Mexico's leading bank by capital adequacy and ranks among the 'Top 5' in Türkiye, Colombia and Peru. To compile its league table of leading banks, The Banker examines 30 indicators using its own in-house method.

BBVA Plan Mercado Monetario PPI has received the award for best pension plan in the Short-Term Fixed Income category at the Expansión-Allfunds awards. BBVA Asset Management (BBVA AM) was also nominated in the categories of Best National Manager and Best Solidarity Fund.
