Garanti BBVA has been honored as Türkiye’s "Best Private Bank for Sustainable Finance" at the Global Sustainable Finance Awards, organized by The Digital Banker magazine, a globally trusted news, business intelligence, research and awards body, servicing the worldwide financial services sector.

The CEO of BBVA Group has again claimed the top spot in the bi-annual ‘Global 50 Turkish Leaders’ list by Türkiye’s leading financial magazine Capital. The publication has taken the pulse of the business world and shared valuable insights since 1993.

For the second year in a row, in its announcement of the winners of its World 's Best Private Banks Awards 2024, US magazine Global Finance has named BBVA as the best private bank in the world for sustainable investment.

BBVA was recognized by the U.S consulting firm Gallup as one of the 30 most exceptional companies in the world. The Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award is given to companies that are committed to developing the human potential of their workforce.

BBVA has once again been included in Fortune magazine’s 2021 ranking of the “world’s most admired” companies. It is the only Spanish bank in the megabank category.

Aurora Garza-Hagan, CEO of BBVA Transfer Services, has been elected Chairperson of the Money Services Business Association (MSBA), a trade association focusing on the non-bank money services industry.

The Ibero-American Communication Association (ASICOM), together with the University of Oviedo and other iberoamerican institutions, awarded the work implemented by the BBVA Microfinance Foundation in Latin America, where it accompanies more than 2.3 million low-income entrepreneurs in five countries in the region. According to the organizers, this award acknowledges the work of the Foundation in “improving the standard of living of millions of people with their efforts.”

BBVA USA’s Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Talent & Culture Executive Rosilyn Houston was named today to American Banker’s Top 25 Most Powerful Women in Banking list, marking the fifth consecutive year she has been recognized by the outlet.

The British Safety Council (BSC), one of the leading organizations in promoting occupational health and safety, has recognized BBVA's Turkish unit for the occupational safety measures rolled out at its Pendik HQs, near Istanbul.

With 33 years of experience reporting on international financial markets and readers in more than 180 countries, the magazine presented the bank seven awards in different locations in recognition of BBVA’s capacity in investment banking and sustainable finance products and solutions.

Capital Magazine ranked BBVA’s CEO at the top of its list of the 50 most influential Turkish executives working abroad. And Forbes Spain ranked Onur Genç the third best Spanish CEO of the decade for Spanish Ibex-listed companies.

The Extel Survey, recognized as the foremost independent evaluation of the European investment industry, revealed its 2019 results with Garanti BBVA named as Turkey's ‘Best in Investor Relations.’

Garanti BBVA has been named 'Best Bank for Corporate Responsibility' in Central and Eastern Europe at this  year's ' Euromoney Awards for Excellence'. The recognition comes on top of other accolades earned by the BBVA Group in categories such as ‘World’s Best Bank for Financial Inclusion', ‘Latin America’s Best Bank for Sustainable Finance’ or ‘Western Europe’s Best Digital Bank’.

The Marketing Association of Spain has awarded BBVA its top prize for 2019: the top national marketing award. After five months of analysis and deliberation, the Association recognized BBVA's global marketing strategy, brand reputation and results.

At the 2018 EMEA Finance Awards, Garanti BBVA collected a total of 17 awards in 13 different categories for eight projects. EMEA Finance is one of the leading financial publications for Europe, the Middle East and Africa and held its awards ceremony in London on June 12th and 13th.

The prestigious study, Extel, has recognized BBVA investor relations as the best in Spain (out of a total of 72 companies) and the best for a European bank (out of 133 entities) in its 2019 study.

BBVA continues to lead the pack in European mobile banking for the third year in a row, according to independent Research Firm Forrester Research. Garanti bank, BBVA’s franchise in Turkey, also had the second highest overall score.

BBVA has been honoured with three accolades in the 2019 edition of Global Finance Magazine’s The Innovators Awards.
