Garanti BBVA Pensions was honored with the silver award in the Digital Transformation category of the Smart-i Awards for its innovative approach to digitizing insurance sales on Garanti BBVA Mobile.

For the third year running, Time has published its World’s Best Companies 2025 ranking, with BBVA having climbed 37 positions compared with 2024, claiming eighth spot globally (45th in 2024). In Spain, it was ranked as the top performer in the banking sector. The ranking, which evaluates 1,000 multinational companies, assesses employee satisfaction, financial performance, and progress toward sustainability.

BBVA’s Turkish franchise has secured three accolades at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2025, consolidating its position as a leader in sustainable banking and workplace inclusion across Central and Eastern Europe. The bank was named Best Bank for Diversity and Inclusion and Best Sustainable Finance Bank in the CEE region, and also took home the Best Sustainable Finance Bank award for Türkiye.

The BBVA Group scooped 13 awards at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence ceremony held last night in London, attended by over 350 representatives from the international financial community. BBVA’s franchises in Mexico, Peru, Spain and Türkiye all received awards under various categories.

The leading publication of financial information, of the Financial Times Group, presented BBVA its Technology Award for the world’s best bank for technology use. The Group’s new data platform, ADA, also received an award for the best banking transformation project in the world.

Garanti BBVA was once again selected for the world’s most prestigious occupational healthand safety award at the 2025 International Safety Awards, organized by the U.K.-based non-profit organization, the British Safety Council. Of the 350 Turkish organizations that applied for the award, Garanti BBVA was the only financial institution to receive the award for the sixth year in a row.

The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) recently recognized Garanti BBVA’s efforts in sustainable development by including the bank in its global ‘A’ List of its Climate Change and Water Security Programs.

Aurora Garza-Hagan, CEO of BBVA Transfer Services, has been elected Chairperson of the Money Services Business Association (MSBA), a trade association focusing on the non-bank money services industry.

The Ibero-American Communication Association (ASICOM), together with the University of Oviedo and other iberoamerican institutions, awarded the work implemented by the BBVA Microfinance Foundation in Latin America, where it accompanies more than 2.3 million low-income entrepreneurs in five countries in the region. The Extel Survey, recognized as the foremost independent evaluation of the European investment industry, revealed its 2019 results with Garanti BBVA named as Turkey's ‘Best in Investor Relations.’
